It’s been a long week—I’ve led several workshops across different cities, focusing on smartphone photography. The demand is steady and promising; many people are interested in exploring photography with their phones. I’ve met a lot of new people, and many of them are eager to sign up for a follow-up course. I’m currently preparing this next course and will share the details with everyone via email soon.

The event “Kunst am Beckerturm” has now officially come to an end!

It was an honor to share the stage with so many talented artists. There were countless conversations, new connections were made, and many new visitors discovered my work.

What mattered most was not only the networking at such a large event, but also the opportunity to meet more people and exchange ideas. I have learned a lot from this experience and will carry these insights into my upcoming exhibitions.

The time has come! The exhibition “Kunst am Beckerturm” (Art at the Beckerturm) will open its doors on Saturday, September 6th. The vernissage starts at 6 PM.

Unfortunately, we faced some unexpected issues while hanging the photographs. The hooks on the walls came loose because the plaster behind them was too damp. Such a pity… So, it’s time for Plan B: displaying the photographs without frames, mounted only with passe-partouts. This way, if anything falls, the frames won’t get damaged.

I spent almost a week working on the passe-partouts — cutting each one by hand, measuring them precisely to fit my photographs, and finishing them with a clean white surface. The result looks beautiful, and I’m truly excited about the exhibition.

The exhibition will take place on September 6th and 7th as well as on September 13th and 14th.
I’m looking forward to welcoming many visitors!

There are two big pieces of news!
I’ve finally completed my business plan. I’m still proofreading and correcting some details, and I’m also reviewing elements like the typography to get everything ready for print.

The second big news: I’m now part of an artist group called “Kunst am Beckerturm”, which exhibits its work every year at the famous “Beckerturm”. I now have the opportunity to exhibit over 20 of my photographs!

I’m absolutely thrilled to present my new works. I’ll be introducing a brand-new concept, which means I’ll need new photos, new frames, and new passe-partouts.

First, our car needs to come back from the repair shop — hopefully we can get started next week!

So far, I’ve held two successful workshops in May and June at our photography club. These focused on the basics of photography combined with a field excursion. In July, I’ll conclude the series with the third and final part of the workshop.

Next weekend, a smartphone photography workshop is on the agenda. I’ll be introducing participants to mobile photography, showing them which features they can use during their holidays and how many creative possibilities there are to enhance their compositions using just their phone.
